Colonics and Diet, and a bit of gas

My last post I had mentioned that I would be posting about gas and how colonics can help - well, I actually already WROTE that post one post earlier!  Oops!

Well, the truth is, I wanted to have an excuse to post that great picture - you know, the "do not fart" sign?
Here is another one, to the right of this.
To catch up on that post, click HERE.
I promise it is fascinating reading, especially Matt Monarch's excellent article on the Blood Gas Theory and why colon hydrotherapy is essential for taking your health to a whole new level, which I am all bout!
For more in-depth explanation of the Blood Gas Theory, you  must read Mr. Monarch's excellent book, Raw Success.

So now onto diet.
There are so many books out there telling you about the BEST way
to eat.  I truly believe that if you can tune
into your body, than your body will let you know what is GOOD,  and what is NOT GOOD, or as I prefer to call it, "NOT OPTIMAL".

This does not mean that if you have a craving for salty chips your body needs it.  Uh uh.  Sorry about that.  It's a good story you can feed to yourself but it is not true.  Usually the body will crave imbalanced food choices if you are constantly feeding it imbalanced food - such as processed starches, sugars, packaged food, fried food, etc.  It is a vicious cycle that CAN be broken.  I have done it.  And I feel better than ever - and am much more sensitive to the NOT OPTIMAL food, wh
ich for me now is anything processed - even a rice cracker doesn't sit so well.

For me, I am discovering that SIMPLE WHOLE FOODS, (NOT the store) are what
my body, mind and spirit thrives on and enjoys.  My body seems to love raw fruits and vegetables the most, with small amount of nuts and seeds.

My husband and I start our day with water with juice from half a lemon (to cleanse the liver) and then shortly after that we juice a lovely GREEN JUICE with our Omega Juicer.  I love this juicer - it is a single auger juicer that juices

leafy greens beautifully.  It is a great first juicer and very easy to clean.  I have heard the twin gear juicers are even better, so when we eventually upgrade, it will be with the Samson Kempo Juicer, which I have heard is excellent.

The benefits of juicing are too numerous to list here.
To name a few:
1. Juicing helps you absorb all the nutrients from the veggies
2. Juicing allows you to consume optimal amount of veggies in an efficient, easy to digest manner
3. Juicing allows for plenty of VARIETY.

Occasionally I get harried in the morning, and that is when I whip up a heaping tablesppon of SUPER GREEN FOOD with water.  Sometimes I have the green mix with a green juice, too, for the added benefits of what is in the green powder, which usually has a base of barley grass, wheat grass, chlorella, etc, depending on the brand.  I like to switch them up from time to time.  You can see a wonderful assortment of Super Green Food Powders HERE.

The green juice tides me over, and then later we typically have a GREEN SMOOTHIE, of which I gave a few recipes in my last post.  I often add soaked CHIA SEEDS to my smoothies for extra protein, fibre and hydrating properties, and often add a nice creamy dollop of coconut oil to further my energy.
This combo stabilizes my blood sugar and can keep me going all day, and my tummy is SOOOOOOOO happy!

Okay, I want to write more but my body is telling me to get off the computer and let my eyes (and hands) rest.

I am always open to any questions and comments!

In light!

Get rid of gas with colonics!

This post is going to be short - but I wanted to to let you all know that I am coming out with a good post about gas soon(yay!) and how colonics can greatly help this often...how shall I put it - uncomfortable situation!

In the meantime, I leave you with an old childhood song:
Campbell's Soup
Makes you poop
Down your leg and in your boot
On the floor and out the door,
Now get ready for some more!

Yes, I sang that in kindergarten and that lovely tune has stayed with me all these years!

And now on to food:
Food tip of the day:  Include more leafy greens in your diet by having a green smoothie every day!
I use my amazing Vitamix Prep for this - a heavy duty 3+ horsepower mother of all blenders!  For more info on these miracle machines, click HERE
Some great smoothie recipes are:

Mango Parsley
2 large mangoes
1 bunch parsley
water
YUM!

Strawberry - Banana - Romaine
1 cup strawberries
2 bananas
1/2 bunch romaine
water
delish!

Pineapple Spinach Celery Dream - my personal fave
1/2 cup or more of low glycemic berries
1/2 cup fresh pineapple (can use the core)
1 to 2 cups baby spinach
1 or 2 sticks celery
water or coconut water
Blend until smooth and ENJOY!
For longer lasting satisfaction, throw in a tablespoon of gorgeous Virgin Coconut Oil and be transported in to BLISS.

Be creative!  And remember, you can mix fruit with all kinds of leafy greens for wonderful food combining benefits (I would skip the mustard greens, though!)
Until next time...
